ENGLISH QABALLISTIC PHILOSOPHY

PRACTICAL CONCLUSIONS

There has been a tradition that women can aspire no further than the degree of Magister Templi because they are unable to pronounce properly the Word of Power. This is not true, as the method used to calculate the Word of an entity shows. In the case of Woman the sum is 46+34=80. This number in terms of Liber AL (I:46) is Nothing. NOTHING=97=PISCES and RA-HOOR-KHUT. Therefore the Word of Woman is Ra Hoor Khut; or Pisces the constellation of all possibilities as Nothing is all possibility. Woman does not speak a Word but all words because she is the embodiment of The Word. The Yoni does not speak, it creates. Similarly the Word is not spoken, it is the Creation.

Occultism, like everything else, has been permeated with the erroneous superstitions of the male dominated systems of the old aeon. The Book of the Law reveals through the English Qaballa the forgotten source of those systems, harmonising the fragmented truths which are all that remain of the ancient wisdom of the Temples of Isis. The old aeon is over, bar the shouting; and it is not our intention to point the finger of blame at men for what was, after all, the sleep of the Great Goddess. There is no grace or guilt in the philosophy of the New Aeon. Now the Goddess is awake, and the subtlety of her awakening can be seen in the dramatic improvements in women’s lifestyles since the Book was received.

Liber AL demonstrates the nature of the supreme deity and of its creation to be feminine in all respects. The creation partakes of the nature of its creator. Manifestation begins with the Goddess, divided for love’s sake. The supreme expression of Nature and the Universe is Woman. Within woman is the truth, by definition, and it is only by appeal to her judgment that the truth can be defined. The idea that the universe is of the nature of a God who somehow produced a Son without a fully functioning female violates the very principles of Nature. The female has always given birth to every living thing and yet we are somehow persuaded that all this is of a male origin. Everything was created in seven days including God’s day off, but what seven days? What sun to measure seven days with? No, by the time God got in on the act there were already lots of toys to play with. Man is always born of woman and Gods are all born of Goddesses. A God is nothing more than a Goddess with an idea or a message. Gods are concerned with doing, Goddesses are concerned with being - it is what a Goddess is that matters, not what she does.

We have described the creation formula . The unstable proton that is responsible for the whole of creation has its deified apotheosis in the very real eternal ever-coming Son of God Jesus Christ, and the proof of our hypothesis is that Jesus Christ propounded the most feminist philosophy in the history of religions, the philosophy of his MOTHER; he had no physical Father. Jesus is a male God propounding the philosophy of a Goddess, he had the body of a man with the soul of a Goddess. He is hermaphroditic in that you worship him as a female, and he gives his power as a male. Man is consciously male and unconsciously female: it is the female unconscious that drives the conscious male just as it is Venus or the Holy Ghost that is the power behind Christ. The division for love’s sake does not conceal a hostage to fortune, but a means of compelling life to realise its identity through an endless series of ecstatic reunions with its source. This is the essence of real Christianity and the purpose of dividing for love’s sake. The one thing about early Christianity that has been well and truly consigned to the top secret file is that Christianity was in those days more fun than any other religion in that it raised sexuality to new heights of expression. All human experience is based in the absence of the beloved one, however that beloved one is perceived, whether it be wealth, health, love, or whatever. It is the absence of perfection that makes incarnation viable.

Although the Goddess commands the creation of her Son, the power she uses is male - God. The supreme deity is female in principle and male in action. This is where the confusion arose to give the idea of the supremacy of God. This is not so. God is but the positive expression of Her will. This is reflected in human beings, where the woman always puts a man in front of her to be the instrument of her will, usually to beget and sustain children. Man is merely an idea, a dream of the Goddess, a man is an ideal aspect of Woman brought to birth by a woman. He is an expression of all the desire and loneliness of the Goddess. That is why man eternally seeks Her through his desire to unite with woman: because she is the expression of the power of the union of the Goddess with her image. His phallus is an clitoris, the symbol of his will to be; just as the clitoris in woman is the symbol of female self expression, in man it reaches its apotheosis with his obsession with being something in his own right. A fragment of the division for love’s sake seeking rest in whatever aspect of the divine woman he sees as an object of love at any given time. Woman has the nature of the Goddess and man the nature of all that she desires, if he is any use, - that divine uncertainty that a woman loves. The more divinely he can wrap up this uncertainty the more a woman loves him. It is the Goddess’s boredom that created man. Man rids woman of this factor. To this day the only sin you can make against a woman apart from insulting her is to be boring: she will forgive you anything, provided you do not bore her.

The power of the Goddess in man always seeks to subjugate woman because unconsciously he knows that although he comes from her, she needed him in the first place. If woman had been superior to man there would have been no need to create the universe. Yet man is the instrument of woman. He is the individualised aspect of a part of the will of the Goddess or woman. It is the fact that he is only an aspect of woman that gives him his power, the fact that he is illusion gives him movement and direction; whereas woman who is stable, a reflection of the divine Goddess, can only enact the will of the Goddess. Man has no such perfection and he knows it. Man’s desire to make love to a woman is but a desire to unite with his Soul or himself, his root self that is female. Freud, Jung and all the rest agree that the body of a man is male but his unconscious is female, the body of a woman is female but her unconscious is male. A true man has usually an intense understanding of woman from this fact, indeed the more male a man is the more feminine are his sympathies.

Man is but a woman with an idea, and that idea is symbolised by the phallus and actualised by his semen. When he gives the idea of himself, his semen, to a woman then for a moment he loses his maleness by ejaculation and is temporarily female. They become as two women with one possessing the life of the other. (This is confused with post-coital depression.)

Every woman is a facet of the Goddess and any man who can awaken that facet will automatically become the object of love for that woman. By awakening and affirming that aspect of womanhood that is peculiar to that woman alone, i.e. her divinity, that divinity will possess the woman and express itself as love for the man. Man ideally shows the hidden self of woman to her and aids her to reunite with herself so that she becomes free of him. A man makes love to a woman and gives her a direction to go in by giving her what he essentially is. This direction needs space in which to travel. To create this space, the woman makes love to another woman. She transcends man and returns to an earlier memory of the Goddess face to face, from this vision she is enabled to embrace her vulnerability as a Goddess and thus regain her birthright as creatrix of the universe and man.

This is the development of the personality of woman. Ideally the development of a woman's personality should cause her highest aspect, the facet of the archetype that she is, to concrete in her personality and become her personality. She will be the most perfect expression of humanity that the archetype is capable of expressing within its own terms, free from disease and the sickness of saying ‘‘no’’. Her beauty will be the limit that her physiology can sustain. This is so by definition because that aspect of the archetype that she, the woman, tries to express, is limited only by what her physiology is capable of sustaining at that time. It should be possible to contact more and more sophisticated archetypes until one reaches the supreme archetype. In this state it ought to be possible to question that archetype as to the secrets of the universe; furthermore, the reaction manifested during this period of exaltation should have remarkable properties. It is this concept that is basic to Tantra and alchemy. The theoretical possibilities of theosexuality are almost boundless. With this type of sexuality two women can reach the highest states of Yoga. A woman can learn more in a month as a theosexual than a Yoga devotee can learn in five years.

Notice how the pseudo religions have damned our most sacred object. To refer to what we all came out of and half of us spend our lives trying to get back into in derogatory terms is to deny our own validity. It is the entrance to the world of all of us, its law of sustenance nurtures us, and its beauty inspires us, and the desire to possess, to conquer, and to make it our friend is the ambition of every virile man.

It is every woman’s desire to incarnate a god, whether she knows it or not. She seeks out a man who represents her idea of a survivor i.e. God. This is why women always test a man to destruction. A man goes from his mother to his mistress, as a messenger, as a worshipper, as a hero; the Goddess passes a man between Her sisters until they have taught him all he can know about Woman, then one will reproduce by him: but she is not really interested in man, she wants to create a God. Man will never ultimately act against the wishes of woman. He must forever strive towards whatever his mother considers to be the path to perfection. It is her approval that he seeks, she has created him literally and metaphorically, and it is her lack of imagination that makes him the boring mediocrity that he is.

A system based upon reproductive duality will always come apart because the formula is always antagonistic - God and the Devil, the goodie and the baddie, the prisoner and the warder, the husband and the wife, and so on. In a relationship between a man and two ladies if one of them goes on the blink the other two can always keep things going. Psychology fails because it tends to base itself on the reproductive transactional theory which in a system of continuous change cannot work, its results can only be temporary. Any state that psychology can produce must be subject to death (change); which means that neurosis itself can only be temporary. A social system based on reproduction results in endless profit and loss, boom and bust, war and peace. A social system based on creation would result in a continuous expansion and exploration of ourselves.

A HOLISTIC POINT OF VIEW

The philosophy which has been derived from Liber AL may be summed up in the following ten principles:

1) Human existence goes on forever, from birth to death to afterlife to birth.

2) The Universe and everything in it is one living entity, everything is interdependent. Therefore if the code is known it is possible to predict and direct the nature of any phenomena that is not known by an examination of what is known.

3) The Universe is governed by an Entity whose sex is unimportant, but who rules a Heirachy of other Entities who regulate the Universe to maintain its continuity in accordance with The Will of that Supreme Entity.

4)The fundamental expression of the Supreme Entity is Humanity. The fundamental expression of Humanity is always in accordance with The Will of the Supreme Entity, whether it knows it or not.

5) For practical purposes we approach The Female Aspect of the Supreme Entity as the female is the container and bringer forth of life, whereas the male defines the nature of that life. The Goddess utters the word, and the word is a God or the Hero aspect of a God.

6) It is the nature of woman to express herself as the Goddess. It is the nature of man to become a God by becoming a Hero. It is She who acknowledges and defines the Hero.

7) There is no grace or guilt, all our actions are in accordance with The Divine Will, to suggest anything other would be a blasphemy against the tenets of all Religion.

8) The Law Of Life is always Love, no matter how obscure or apparently abhorrent its manifestation may be from an observer’s viewpoint. It is the observer’s viewpoint that obscures the Whole, it never can by definition reveal it.

9) It is the Destiny of Humanity to awake from the illusion that it can act in any other way than in accordance with the Divine will, with this awakening comes wisdom and enlightenment.

10) Love, and do what thou wilt.

These ideas delineate a truly holistic world in which there are no coincidences, there are no accidents, and everything has meaning and purpose and must be respected. By his interaction with the world and its unseen forces forces the initiated magickian partakes more and more with the Gods in a life which is beyond most mortals. The magickian is a Child of the Stars, a child of eternity, not for him the one short life of the Christian, Moslem, and Jew. He knows he lives forever and adjusts his life accordingly. Each experience is limited whether it be an event in life or that of an individual life itself, but the spirit continues forever and is not subject to the laws of the manifest universe. He knows too that there is only one law, only one prohibition, and that is ‘‘cause no pain to others’’: and if he does cause pain then he knows that Karma will demand the same suffering from him.

The whole of Nature is a book whose story symbolises the whole course of human existence. The cycles of Nature teach us that eternity works in cycles. Through her endlessness Nature teaches us that our lives are endless. A flower is a many-layered symbol of the state of things: its roots represent the Earth and our life on earth, and the flower represents the Sun or heaven; the stalk represents the distance between Man and God, or between the Earth and the Sun. The flower, heaven, is also the beauteous rest before life must begin again on earth. All nature repeats this endless motif of beginning, middle, transition, and beginning - there is no end, just continuity. We are all part of the same system. Nothing can or does exist in isolation. Our philosophy requires that everything is alive and in a constant state of change, even if that change is nothing more than being in a different part of the universe. Everything, no matter how primitive, has the will to be, to explore the possibilities of its own nature just as a child grows and explores its own nature: and if in the attainment of that being, joining together with others of the same nature helps in that particle’s expression of itself, then it will join with others; whether it be a proton, neutron, or electron, or a man, woman or child, the principle is always the same. If it appears in nature then the more important the function is, the more likely it is to extend macrocosmically and microcosmically.

Nature is the best illustration of the Mind of the Supreme Deity that we have got. In the past Man looked to Nature to try and read the riddles of existence, and in desert countries where the Sun rules harshly and without compromise God was apprehended as an implacable deity who had clearly defined rules which had to be obeyed. In the desert to disobey the rules meant death; the Sun would not compromise or show mercy therefore God did not. Thus we have been taught by desert religions that Nature is the enemy. We can never live consciously in harmony with Nature until we can live in harmony with ourselves. Man is an imperfect being and he projects his imperfection onto everything he sees; the truth is that Man is just as much an instrument of Nature as a tree is. Man with his supreme egotism thinks that he can damage Nature, but he cannot even breathe on the screen that conceals her mystery, for she is the endlessly defiled Virgin Mother of all Creation.

We live in a holistic world subject to holistic principles. We like to think that we reason everything out, that we have an approach to life delineated by experience and environment and all the other cosy factors that tell us we are in control; when in fact the ideas we act on come directly from our unconscious minds and our final decisions are more often a result of intuition than reasoned argument. The terms ‘subconscious’ and ‘unconscious’ are just terms, pigeon holes to explain the inexplicable. Try to observe where your thoughts come from, how you reach decisions and you will find that you are nothing more than a secretary taking down notes from an invisible source and acting on the information derived from that source. The ancient Greeks knew this; their God of Thought, Hermes, was also the patron of Thieves.

Each individual human being has a point of view from which he sees the world, we live in and are part of a whole universe, but our vision of the whole is clouded by necessity, and we distort it by placing an over-emphasis on what we can see. The conflict that Man experiences is a manifestation of a spurious guilt born of a religious and moral principle that there is something fundamentally wrong with the world, and that therefore there is something fundamentally wrong with us. Viewed from one life span our experience of being alive is more or less of a disaster, but when viewed from a reincarnating aspect we find that we are actors on a stage playing out a play and when the play is over we go home and rest until we are given another part to play. There is no grace or guilt. We cannot divert from our part one iota but we can play the part well, to the best of our ability.

The Book of the Law delineates a continuous creation in which we incarnate and disincarnate only to reincarnate again and again. We live in and are part of a vast continuum where everything is in a constant state of change, constantly adjusting and readjusting in accordance with the requirements of our entertainment; there is no grace or guilt, only experience. The process is simply an expression of the Will to Be. The Supreme Deity it at once the Creation and everything in it. Any antagonistic forces within Creation must be subject to that original Will. The idea of Sin, for instance, is defined simply as anything that disturbs the silence of infinity. From the divine standpoint, the whole of manifestation is an abomination as far as the purity of Zero is concerned. The only real sin in the universe is to cause pain, this is what creates Karma and is responsible for our endless incarnation on this planet. The fact that ‘because’ is damned and ‘‘accursed for ever’’ in AL II:28-33, means that ‘because’ will always provoke the question ‘why’. Turn the other cheek if someone strikes you, it is his destiny to cause you pain as it yours to receive it. To strike back is to provoke the ‘why? - because’ state of affairs that gives rise to the whole Karmic joke.

The whole edifice of the universe is created to stave off the boredom of eternity, and it is filled with uncertainty so as not to give the game away. All the religions of the world are based on the exploitation of this uncertainty: they revitalise it and dramatise it, the big question being, what happens after death? With the vision of eternal life with endless incarnations it makes sense to calm down a bit and take Eternity as it comes. We are like the points of light of a fibre-optic lamp, sparks of the totality with the illusion of individuality. The whole Truth is one vast complete majestic harmony, designed, perpetuated, and sustained for Humanity. This secret garden, the Universe, this wealth of mystery, is ours to enjoy. It is up to us. We can spend eternity missing the point. There is no rush.
