The fish has always been sacred to the Goddess. In later recensions the symbol was assumed by Christianity which was a valid act for the Gnostics but bears no relationship to the version of the Catholics.

The reason why a particular animal is sacred to a deity is because that animal by shape or behaviour or both exhibits or exemplifies some aspect of the Deity that it is sacred to. The more characteristics exhibited by the creature, the more prominent its significance in the deity’s mythology.

In Thelema the Fishes - Pisces - has the same value as NOTHING = 97. The concept and delineation of Nothing is central to the Book of the Law i.e. ‘‘Nothing is a secret key of this law’’, Nothing is a secret key to the Book of the Law but how? The ancients kept things simple so we will imitate them and see what we come up with.

First of all let us look at the shape of the fish and try and relate that shape to an archetypal object, that is an object that does not change with time. Having done that we must learn the significance and message that the animal has for us. The message will be exactly the same for us as it was for the ancients because the shape remains the same and our means of delineating it will remain the same.

The female sexual shape is obvious, the Fish is a symbol of the female sex organs, but why does it relate to Nothing.

The tail is the clitoris, the body the vulva and the eyes are towards Kundalini. The power that propels the fish is its tail. The power that propels the Goddess is her clitoris. In EQ Clitoris has the same value as Kundalini 109 = HERMIT etc.

The tail of the fish and where it joins the body make the letter X = 22. The Ordeal X is the stress caused in the mind by the change of orientation from Phallic consciousness to Kundalini consciousness the Serpent Goddess has for her primary human symbol.

The Fish appears not to need air, it swims in another medium. We need air, when we don’t need air we are dead. The logic of the ancients therefore concluded that the fish doesn’t need air therefore it is related to death and the fact that it lives in another medium confirmed this as Paradise is another medium. They concluded that the Fish must be a symbol of the supreme being and therefore the supreme being must be female. The fish swims in a medium that our bodies cannot so water became the symbol of the Goddess and space and water got the big OK for turning up all over the place as a symbol for the space between Earth and that other place. It doesn’t matter to the primary idea whether the water is river or sea, the idea remains the same.

In the name of water. To the ancients, the ones who came at the beginning, fish are ultimately

generated by water, to them the ultimate expression of water was Fish. The expression of water was fish, the secret name of water was fish. The expression and the name of an object was the same. Thus the Hebrews designated their highest name of God in Kabballa as EHEYEH which is really the sound of a yawn, so we can say that Judaism is one big yawn but I digress. The reasoning behind this is that the deity slept between aeons and the first thing he did when he woke up was - you guessed it - he yawned. The first phenomenon in creation is a sound. This is borne out by Al and continued in all the other Hieratic texts, but the fish doesn’t make a sound so to our buddies in the ancient past the fish must represent something that existed before creation, because of its silence. It moves in silence, its word is silence, yes folks the fish is a pretty sacred creature. It is easy to see how then PISCES=NOTHING=97 EQ because the fish is silent, it doesn’t utter a sound therefore it predates ‘the word’. Nothing predates the word so PISCES=NOTHING.

The Fish has the outline of female genitalia therefore before the God who makes a sound is the Goddess whose word is silence exemplified by her most sacred creature the Fish. Why did the Christians take up the Fish as one of their most sacred symbols, why did Christ have for his emblem the Fish? Well dear children, Christianity was originally a feminist religion. Everything that Christ said was feminist, he was the Son of his MOTHER he had no physical Father he was born of two females, the Virgin Mary and the Holy Ghost who as we all know is Venus Goddess of Love.

The ordeal X is about getting away from all this pseudo-phallic-macho bullshit of Jehovah and getting back to our origin in the silence of the Goddess. After all if you say something someone is bound to contradict you and before you know where you are there is a fight and that’s been the story since God uttered the first word. I prefer the wisdom of the Goddess who remains silent, very beautiful, the most desirable, and makes the dinner, cleans the house and has kept man occupied since She kicked her son out of Heaven to get the show on the road.

Nature is the Book that delineates the mystery of the Goddess. Everything lives and has a meaning. Nothing can exist in isolation.

We are dependent on nature for everything, we take everything from her our food clothing the air we breathe, and yet we ignore her story her secrets her mystery. We have been taught by desert religions that nature is the enemy and there is nothing to be learned from her. To the Thelemite nature is our food our pleasure and the illustration of our Book - the Book of the Law.

Why therefore is Nothing a secret key of this Law? We have found that the Fishes - Pisces = NOTHING and that the Fish is a glyph of the female sexual organs. Therefore one can assume that if EQ works then nothing has the law of female sexuality and female sexuality must be the key to the law if not the law itself, by her shape, moods, cycles, and manifestation.

The Book of THE LAW could equally be called the Book of Yoni and therefore we must be a right bunch of cunts for studying it. Notice how the pseudo religions have damned our most sacred object. To refer to what we all came out of and half of us spend our lives trying to get back into in derogatory terms is to deny our own validity. To call someone a cunt is to state a fact because if we aren’t one we certainly were made in one. The Cunt is our most revered living word. It is the entrance to the world of all of us, its law of sustenance exemplified by the Mother is what nurtures us, and its beauty as exemplified by the Virgin is what inspires us, and our desire to possess

conquer and make it our friend as exemplified by the Scarlet Woman Babalon is the ambition of every virile man.
