If you invoke Venus to create harmony love peace etc don’t be too surprised if it first produces conflict. The cross is below the circle and the cross of harmony must manifest before one can experience the circle of peace. If Venus is invoked to produce harmony between two individuals where previously existed discord then this discord will be quickly brought to a head by means of conflict. This conflict is created by the energy of Venus pouring into a state of disharmony. This power will quickly redress the balance by destroying anything that is not of its nature. We always view the power of a planet from below so the cross of harmony is created by precipitating the subject into conflict if that state is existent in potential. This condition is gone through to create the state of harmony in which the power of Venus can realise her full potential in the individuals involved. The state of conflict may not exist, in this situation it will simply act in accord with the strongest manifestation of Venus, by making someone more beautiful or more desirable or whatever will manifest her power the best.

If Venus is invoked to give love between two individuals who have no feelings for or about each other then it could produce hate initially, any strong emotional response seems to suit her purposes, this response is then subtly converted to love. Similarly if she is invoked to give beauty to a person she may initially give ugliness and then beauty. The experience of the cross of crucifixion gives way to the cross of harmony then the circle of peace. The both are combined in Fortuna as power. The result with Venus is the combining of the cross of harmony with the circle of peace to give the symbol of love (Venus symbol), with Fortuna this power happens all at once (Fortuna symbol) and can be very disruptive. It is true to say that Venus always creates this situation. A potential suitor is always put through the hoop of the cross ie a woman always crucifies a man before she accepts him as her lover. How a man defines being put through a hoop is not the same as a woman’s, and it is a woman’s game.

Notice the expression being ‘‘put through the hoop’’. A hoop is a circle, and it is this circle that is always the circle of initiation for men and women alike. The Goddess through woman is the great initiator. It is she who teaches everything. It is woman’s failure in recent centuries that has caused the world to be such a mess. Woman has lost confidence in her womanhood and has started to imitate man. She has ceased to be the great initiator and has become the great destroyer. Man will never ultimately act against the wishes of woman. If women greeted man’s warlike impulses with hysterical laughter, if it was seen by them that all these masculine games were trivial pursuits performed by inadequate men to hide their impotence, and they (women) made their contempt obvious then men would cease immediately and behave in accordance with woman’s wishes. A woman bore a man in the first place, it is her approval that he seeks, and if she approves of violence and greed and man acts out her requirements don’t blame man blame her she created sustained nurtured and educated the little beast! The poor sap is only doing what he thinks she wants. If women want something else from men other than greed violence and the pursuit of stupidity then she had better start educating her children in more acceptable ways. It isn’t man’s stupidity that is poisoning the planet it is woman’s neglect. Nature demands that women produce men capable of sustaining women and children, if they can’t do this then nature will call in the species and leave the rats to clean up the planet. Rats are much better and integrated survivors.

When the Goddess created her image they were bored by the similarity. So they decided to try and create something that was not themselves something to keep them occupied. That something is man and to this day the only sin you can make against a woman apart from insulting her is to be boring, she will forgive you anything provided you don’t bore her. Man is made in the image of the dreams of woman do not blame man if he falls short of a woman’s desires, she has created him literally and metaphorically, it’s her lack of imagination that makes him the boring mediocrity that he is.
