A COMPARISON BETWEEN THE SEPHER YETZIRAH AND THE BOOK OF THE LAW

A comparison of these two works with the intention of establishing whether the creation is the same in both texts. Chapter 1 of S.Y. states that Jehovah Tzabaoth engraved his name by the three Seraphim.

SY1) Numbers letters words. Jehovah Tzabaoth is the God-name of the Sphere of Venus on the Qaballistic tree of Life. In Al Nuit is the first and Supreme deity which gives rise to two more.

SY2) There are ten Sephiroth, there are ten Sephiroth on the tree of manifestation, but in Al there is a tree of Heaven as well. In the text of Al it states ‘‘the Jews have the half’’ in other words the tree of manifestation.

SY7) In verse 7 the question is asked ‘‘what number canst thou place before one?’’ In Al Zero is placed before one and it states ‘‘NONE breathed the light faint & faery of the Stars and Two.’’ Yet in EQ the value of ONE = 46=10=1 and 46 is the value of woman, and Al makes it perfectly clear that woman is the representative of the Deity on Earth.SYCh.2v.4) ‘‘He arranged as upon a sphere with 231 gates.’’ In Al = ‘‘In the sphere I am everywhere the centre as she the circumference is nowhere found.’’ CIRCUMFERENCE=231. In SYCh.4 there is a dissertation on the number seven.

SYch.4(3) ‘‘These seven double letters he designed produced and combined and formed with them the planets (stars) of this universe days of the week and gates of the soul - - he loved and blessed the number Seven more than all things under heaven.’’ In Al 2:76 the letter O is at the centre and beginning of creation. O=7. Nuit herself has a value of 78 where 8 is considered in Al to equal nothing. Also the value of all the planets (note that only the planets are mentioned in S.Y.) if calculated using the normal English spelling agrees with S.Y. Sum of all planets = 777.In S.Y. Aries = H, Taurus = V, Gemini = Z, Cancer = C, Leo = T, Virgo = Y, Libra = L, Scorpio = N, Sagittarius = S, Capricorn = O, Aquarius = T, Pisces = Q.

SYp.34,9, ‘‘The ineffable Sephiroth’’. The words are SPIRUT BLIMH. The simplest translation is ‘‘The voices from nothing’’. In Al=3 Everything issues from nothing in 2:76.BLI (Heb) is NOT MH is ‘anything’. IHVH in EQ = 41. The central idea in 418 being ‘‘the name of his house 41 EQ=HER. This suggests that IHVH is female. Contrast I=23 H=4 V=10 H=4 with Nuit N=14 U=17 I=23 T=24.

SYp.39,40. B=Sun G=Venus D=Mercury K=Moon P=Saturn R=Jupiter T=Mars.P.41 (49) THE DRAGON TLI = 400+30+10 = 440. TLI=49EQ. TLI = THELI considered to be an Arabic word. There is some confusion as to its actual Astronomical attribution - the belt of the Zodiac The constellation Draco, Caput and Cavela(?) Dracchis DRAGON = THELI has resonances in Thelema and Thelemites of Al. Al is the Law of Thelema.
